Callum plot continues with 7.2m on Monday Coronation Street

Coronation Street was Monday's top-rated programme with both of its episodes above the 7 million mark, overnight figures show.

7.16m (35.1%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 153k (0.7%) on +1 as Bethany offered to help Callum with another of his dodgy deals. 7.06m (33.1%) returned at 8.30pm and 195k (1.0%) on +1 as Sarah almost caught Bethany making a move on Callum.

EastEnders regained its lead over Emmerdale, bringing in 6.73m (31.4%) at 8pm on BBC One as the Lucy Beale murder investigation continued. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 322k (1.9%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale entertained 6.18m (32.8%) at 7pm on ITV and 197k (0.9%) on +1 as Robert vowed to fight back against Chrissie after she refused to forgive him. The schemer's ongoing storyline still appears to be boosting Emmerdale, as this was the show's best rating since March 30.

Hollyoaks attracted 809k (4.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 106k (0.5%) on +1 as Tegan was arrested for her kidnapping stunt. E4's first look followed with 593k (3.2%) at 7pm and 149k (0.7%) on +1.

Neighbours grabbed 669k (8.5%) at 1.45pm and 789k (5.5%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Tyler found himself in danger again.

Doctors interested 1.43m (18.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Zara finally apologised to Sid for her bullying.

Home and Away mustered 197k (2.4%) at 1.15pm and 551k (3.3%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 262k (1.5%) at 6.30pm.
