Coronation Street topped the soap ratings for the third consecutive day on Friday evening (July 10), overnight figures show.

5.8m (33.9%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 220k (1.2%) on +1 as Kylie tried to trap Callum by pretending to want a reunion with him. 5.55m (30.1%) returned at 8.30pm and 212k (1.1%) on +1 as Kylie and David's plan backfired, pushing Sarah even closer to Callum.

The episodes also featured the continued aftermath of Deirdre Barlow's death, with Tracy and Ken starting to plan her funeral.

EastEnders wasn't far behind as 5.33m (30.7%) saw Nancy continue to worry about Lee and Martin react badly to Stacey's pregnancy news. BBC Three did not air a repeat screening.

Emmerdale attracted 4.88m (29.8%) at 7pm on ITV and 142k (0.8%) on +1 as Robert issued a sinister threat to Paddy.

Hollyoaks interested 573k (3.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 116k (0.7%) on +1 as Mercedes decided to keep her baby. E4's first look had 386k (2.4%) at 7pm.

Neighbours had 502k (7.1%) at 1.45pm on Channel 5 as Tyler confessed all to Mark, while the 5.30pm screening held onto 599k (4.4%) against the Wimbledon men's semi-final.

Home and Away continued with 178k (2.5%) at 1.15pm on Channel 5, while the 6pm airing managed 381k (2.4%) against Wimbledon. 5*'s first look secured 261k (1.7%) at 6.30pm.
