EastEnders was Tuesday's top-rated programme (July 7) with an eventful wedding day for Jean Slater, overnight figures show.6.14m (32.8%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as Jean's big day was marred by another argument with Stacey over the mysterious key. BBC Three's repeat screening added 473k (2.7%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale claimed 5.14m (29.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 154k (0.8%) on +1 as Bob and Carly's deception left Brenda fearing that her brain tumour had returned.
Holby City attracted 4.12m (21.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Fletch agreed to be part of Clifford's dodgy plan.
Neighbours appealed to 605k (8.2%) at 1.45pm and 617k (4.8%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Amber hurt Daniel by siding with Josh over him.
Hollyoaks had 593k (3.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with drama for the McQueens and the Roscoes on Phoebe's funeral day, while E4's first look followed with 477k (2.7%) at 7pm and 113k (0.6%) on +1.
Home and Away continued with 210k (2.8%) at 1.15pm and 485k (3.2%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look secured 254k (1.5%) at 6.30pm.
