Emmerdale was Thursday's top-rated programme (July 2) as Jai's latest scheme backfired on him, overnight figures show.
5.31m (30.7%) tuned in at 7pm on ITV and 156k (0.8%) on +1 as Rachel and Sam found out about Jai and Leyla's affair, while 5.38m (28.1%) returned at 8pm and 215k (1.1%) on +1 as Rachel planned what to do with the evidence.
EastEnders was seen by 5.04m (26.7%) at 7.30pm as Shirley took action against Buster.
Neighbours entertained 520k (7.5%) at 1.45pm and 682k (5.3%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Amber, Josh and Daniel received devastating news.
Hollyoaks attracted 570k (3.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Ben's behaviour aroused suspicion. E4's first look followed with 553k (3.2%) at 7pm.
Home and Away continued with 184k (2.6%) at 1.15pm and 511k (3.4%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 254k (1.6%) at 6.30pm.
