Coronation Street's Michael confession brings in 6.5 million

Coronation Street was Monday's top-rated programme (June 29) as Gail heard the truth from Michael about his intimate moment with Eileen, overnight figures show.

6.49m (36.4%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 153k (0.8%) on +1 as Michael tried to clear the air with Gail. 6.46m (32.4%) returned at 8.30pm and 211k (1.1%) on +1 as Gail and Eileen brawled in the street.

EastEnders attracted 6.01m (31.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Shabnam struggled to cope in the aftermath of her attack.

Emmerdale interested 4.75m (28.1%) at 7pm on ITV and 156k (0.8%) on +1 as baby Moses fell ill.

Hollyoaks claimed 810k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 87k (0.5%) on +1 as Tony started to suspect that Diane may be the kidnapper. E4's first look followed with 573k (3.4%) at 7pm and 99k (0.5%) on +1.

Neighbours entertained 588k (9.8%) at 1.45pm and 816k (7.0%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Brad revealed Matt's betrayal to Lauren.

Home and Away continued with 145k (2.3%) at 1.15pm and 519k (3.7%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look secured 293k (1.9%) at 6.30pm.
