EastEnders was Thursday's top-rated programme (June 18) with an emotional evening for Shirley and her family, overnight figures show.
5.43m (31.8%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as Shirley decided to help Dean get access to Jade after a night of revelations on the Square. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 368k (2.2%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.05m (31.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 110k (0.6%) on +1 as Cain and Chrissie shared a passionate kiss, while 4.85m (27.6%) returned at 8pm and 220k (1.1%) on +1 as Harriet told Robert what his wife had been up to.
Neighbours entertained 593k (9.9%) at 1.45pm and 600k (5.1%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Paul failed to get in Amy's good books.
Hollyoaks attracted 596k (4.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Mercedes told Joe that she is pregnant with his baby. E4's first look followed with 468k (3.5%) at 7pm.
Doctors brought in 953k (15.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Ayesha turned cold with Sid.
Home and Away continued with 158k (2.6%) at 1.15pm and 478k (3.5%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 314k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.
