The audience increased to 7.09m (33.8%) at 8.30pm and 196k (0.9%) on +1 as Michael was rushed to hospital after collapsing during a passionate moment with Eileen.
EastEnders attracted 6.21m (30.6%) at 8pm on BBC One as Ronnie encountered more marital problems. BBC Three's repeat screening took 372k (2.1%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale appealed to 5.81m (32.4%) at 7pm on ITV and 113k (0.6%) on +1 as Victoria and Adam decided to flee from the village.
Hollyoaks interested 856k (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Ste committed himself to a shock relationship with Sinead, while E4's first look followed with 578k (3.2%) at 7pm.
