EastEnders Live brings in 10 million in Friday ratings

EastEnders' Live Week went out on a high on Friday evening (February 20) with the fallout from the reveal of Lucy's killer, overnight figures show.

The Walford soap brought in 9.97m (42.6%) at 8pm on BBC One as Jane reluctantly confirmed Bobby's guilt to the Beale family in a full live episode.

EastEnders peaked at 10.25m for the emotional broadcast, which saw Peter left furious as Ian, Jane and Cindy all agreed to protect Bobby by burying the truth.

After the main show, 6.45m (28.3%) stuck around on BBC One for EastEnders: Backstage Live, which featured immediate reaction from the soap's cast and crew. The companion show won the 8.30pm slot against ITV's Coronation Street.

At 9pm, 2.21m (10.1%) switched over to BBC Three for more from the Backstage Live show, which was easily the most-watched multichannel programme of the day.

At 11pm, BBC Three's repeat of EastEnders Live interested 316k (2.8%). Afterwards, repeats of part one and two of Backstage Live followed with 372k (4.5%) and 312k (5.1%) at 11.30pm and 12am respectively.

Elsewhere, Coronation Street attracted 6.99m (33.6%) at 7.30pm on ITV as Todd's twisted plan to split up Eva and Jason came to a head. Dipping against EastEnders: Backstage Live, 5.03m (21.6%) returned to Corrie at 8.30pm and 268k (1.3%) on +1 as Eva and Jason hit the rocks.

Emmerdale managed to bounce back from Thursday's low audience, rising up to 6.07m (32.0%) at 7pm on ITV with the aftermath of Katie's funeral day.

Hollyoaks interested 752k (4.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 107k (0.5%) on +1 with Freddie's decision to flee from the village, while E4's first look followed with 538k (2.8%) at 7pm.

Neighbours entertained 592k (7.5%) at 1.45pm and 691k (4.6%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 with Paige and Lauren's topless protest.

Home and Away managed 237k (3.0%) at 1.15pm and 584k (3.5%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look followed with 405k (2.2%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.49m (19.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
