Coronation Street: Callum plot continues with 7.3m on Monday

Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Monday evening (February 16) but dipped against BBC One's coverage of the Preston vs. Manchester United game, overnight figures show.

Corrie was the most-watched programme of the day, bringing in 7.34m (33.0%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 103k (0.4%) on +1 as Callum reappeared yet again with another demand for David. 6.88m (28.2%) returned at 8.30pm and 179k (0.8%) on +1 as Gail received a surprise after trying to take action against Callum.

Emmerdale attracted 6.49m (31.1%) at 7pm on ITV and 121k (0.5%) on +1 as Andy and Aaron's troubles continued following Katie's recent death.

Waterloo Road appealed to 516k (2.1%) at 8.30pm on BBC Three with more family problems for Abdul, while BBC One's repeat screening secured 548k (10.7%) at 11.45pm.

Hollyoaks continued with 961k (5.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 103k (0.5%) on +1 as Porsche and Lockie clashed with Trevor. E4's first look followed with 559k (2.7%) at 7pm and 180k (0.8%) on +1.

While EastEnders itself was off air for the day due to the football, Graham Norton's EastEnders special entertained 2.21m (21.6%) at 10.45pm on BBC One. EastEnders: 30 Years of Cliffhangers was also the top multichannel show of the day, grabbing 748k (3.3%) at 8pm on BBC Three.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours managed 640k (7.7%) at 1.45pm and 711k (4.6%) at 5.30pm. Home and Away mustered 218k (2.5%) at 1.15pm, 525k (3.0%) at 6pm and 305k (1.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.61m (19.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
