Coronation Street continues with 7.5m on Wednesday

Coronation Street topped the midweek soap ratings (February 11) as the Armstrong family's new storyline continued, overnight figures show.

Corrie was the most-watched programme of the day, bringing in 7.51m (35.1%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 155k (0.7%) on +1 as Katy angered Owen by giving her estranged mum Linda a chance to explain herself.

Emmerdale continued with 6.41m (32.5%) at 7pm on ITV and 122k (0.5%) on +1 as Chas remained suspicious of Robert following Katie's death.

Hollyoaks attracted 972k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Finn made contact with John Paul. E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings but continued its recent run of lower figures, with 561k (2.8%) at 7pm and 183k (0.8%) on +1.

Neighbours entertained 667k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 746k (4.9%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Lucy and Chris reached an agreement over their baby plans.

Home and Away managed 224k (3.1%) at 1.15pm and 577k (3.3%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 365k (2.0%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.79m (24.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
