6.4m watch Peter, Ian drugs showdown on Thursday EastEnders

EastEnders was Thursday's top-rated soap (December 4) with the fallout from Peter's dark secret, overnight figures show.

6.35m (32.2%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as Ian refused to forgive Peter for supplying drugs to Lucy and Lauren's alibi in the murder mystery was revealed to be false. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 397k (2.9%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale attracted 6.03m (31.8%) at 7pm on ITV and 116k (0.6%) on +1 as Robert showed a romantic interest in Aaron, while 5.83m (27.7%) returned at 8pm and 143k (0.6%) on +1 as the pair's surprising storyline continued.

Hollyoaks interested 791k (4.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 104k (0.5%) on +1 as Maxine was found not guilty, while E4's first look had 727k (3.8%) at 7pm and 183k (0.9%) on +1.

Neighbours' penultimate episode of the year claimed 558k (8.2%) at 1.45pm and 805k (5.3%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Home and Away managed 230k (3.4%) at 1.15pm and 579k (3.4%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look claimed 411k (2.2%) at 6pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.38m (20.5%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
