Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Friday evening (November 14) but had its figures dented by Children in Need, overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield drama pulled in 6.43m (29.1%) at 7.30pm on ITV as Peter's plans to move to Portsmouth upset his son Simon, while 5.56m (23.2%) returned at 8.30pm and 214k (0.9%) on +1 as the troubled character said his goodbyes.
Emmerdale was ahead of the second Corrie thanks to the Children in Need effect, attracting 5.82m (29.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 128k (0.6%) on +1 as Jai remained under pressure following Archie's return.
Hollyoaks interested 982k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sienna fled from the hospital with Dodger as a hostage. E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 795k (3.9%) at 7pm and 195k (0.9%) on +1.
Neighbours appealed to 631k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 725k (4.6%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Sonya learned of the poison pen letters.
Home and Away managed 242k (3.4%) at 1.15pm and 590k (3.4%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 448k (2.4%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.48m (21.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
