Coronation Street was Wednesday evening's top-rated soap (November 5) with Rob Donovan's exit, overnight figures show.
7.17m (36.5%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 295k (1.4%) on +1 as Rob was arrested after Tracy did the right thing by reporting him to the police.
Emmerdale brought in 5.93m (31.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 164k (0.8%) on +1 as Marlon and Laurel's marriage remained on shaky ground.
Waterloo Road managed 2.42m (11.9%) at 8pm on BBC One as Gabriella faced a tough time after returning to the school.
Hollyoaks attracted 882k (4.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the latest drama for troubled Cindy, while E4's first look once again topped the multichannel ratings with 758k (4.0%) at 7pm.
Neighbours continued with 640k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 853k (5.5%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Terese found Lauren's journal.
Home and Away entertained 255k (3.8%) at 1.15pm and 569k (3.3%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 361k (2.0%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors continued with 1.39m (20.7%) at 1.45pm.
