Nick Cotton return drama seen by 6.9m on Tuesday EastEnders

EastEnders was the most-watched soap on Tuesday evening (October 28) as Nick Cotton's return storyline continued, overnight figures show.

6.85m (32.9%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as Nick demanded cash from Charlie and Ronnie in exchange for keeping quiet about still being alive. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 139k (7.6%) at the later time of 1.30am.

Emmerdale attracted 6.14m (31.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 148k (0.7%) on +1 as Ali and Ruby's relationship hit the rocks.

Holby City appealed to 4.57m (21.2%) at 8pm on BBC One as Mo seized an opportunity to prove her skills.

Hollyoaks claimed 1m (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sonny continued to pose a threat to the McQueens, while E4's first look followed with 712k (3.6%) at 7pm and 179k (0.8%) on +1.

Neighbours continued to rise in the ratings at teatime, as 1m (6.4%) watched the fallout from Nate's latest outburst at 5.30pm on Channel 5. 638k (9.1%) caught the lunchtime screening at 1.45pm.

Home and Away mustered 254k (3.4%) at 1.15pm and 654k (3.6%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 344k (1.8%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors brought in 1.21m (17.5%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
