6.45m (32.2%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as Kat asked a guilty Alfie to marry her, just as he was planning to tell her the truth about the fire. BBC Three's repeat screening claimed 399k (3.0%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.34m (33.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 155k (0.7%) on +1 with the return of Robert Sugden to the village. The evening's second episode, which sparked viewer complaints over a transmission fault, managed 6.16m (29.1%) at 8pm and 274k (1.3%) on +1.
Hollyoaks continued with 807k (4.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Theresa's parenting came under question, while E4's first look followed with 784k (4.1%) at 7pm and 169k (0.8%) on +1.
Neighbours entertained 643k (9.8%) at 1.45pm and 863k (6.1%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Paige struggled with Brennan's apparent betrayal.
Home and Away attracted 286k (4.3%) at 1.15pm and 646k (3.9%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look mustered 305k (1.7%) at 6.30pm.
