6.48m (34.6%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 187k (0.9%) on +1 as Tyrone discovered that substandard building materials were to blame for his injuries, while 6.34m (31.3%) returned at 8.30pm and 194k (1.0%) on +1 to see Tyrone and Fiz confront Jason.
EastEnders wasn't far behind Corrie, bringing in 6.08m (30.9%) at 8pm on BBC One as Alfie considered drastic measures to solve his financial problems and Jay was arrested. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 287k (2.0%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 5.24m (30.6%) at 7pm on ITV as Robbie and Megan's scheming against Charity continued to backfire, adding 143k (0.7%) on +1.
Hollyoaks interested 813k (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the shock reveal that Nico's father is Dodger, while E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 713k (4.2%) at 7pm and 111k (0.6%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours claimed 649k (10.0%) at 1.45pm and 694k (5.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 156k (2.4%) at 1.15pm, 529k (3.5%) at 6pm and 373k (2.4%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.24m (19.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
