Hollyoaks had its highest E4 rating in three months on Thursday evening (September 4) as the identity of Nico Blake's father was revealed, overnight figures show.
920k (5.3%) tuned in at 7pm on E4 and 227k (1.1%) on +1 as Dodger was rushed to hospital after being stabbed by Sienna and he was also confirmed as Nico's father in a shock storyline twist.
Hollyoaks had its best E4 figure since June 2 and was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day.
Earlier, Sienna's surprise attack on Dodger was seen by 765k (4.7%) in the traditional 6.30pm slot on Channel 4.
EastEnders was the most-watched soap of the day, bringing in 5.78m (30.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Carol was given the all-clear at her final hospital appointment. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 190k (10.3%) at the later time of 1.30am.
Emmerdale attracted 5.44m (30.8%) at 7pm on ITV as Robbie and Megan uncovered Charity's deception, while 5.38m (26.8%) returned at 8pm and 167k (0.8%) on +1 as Megan failed to convince Declan of his wife's betrayal.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 611k (10.3%) at 1.45pm and 808k (6.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away entertained 203k (3.3%) at 1.15pm, 594k (4.0%) at 6pm and 333k (2.0%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.27m (21.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
