Coronation Street and EastEnders both rose in the soap ratings on Monday evening (July 14), overnight figures show.
Corrie pulled in 7.1m (36.7%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 138k (0.7%) on +1 as Rob felt the pressure as his killer secret remained in jeopardy, while the audience increased to 7.42m (35.2%) at 8.30pm and 177k (0.8%) on +1 as Peter was charged with Tina's murder.
The 8.30pm figure was the Weatherfield drama's best rating since June 16.
EastEnders attracted 6.64m (32.2%) at 8pm on BBC One as Billy remained under suspicion over Lucy's murder, the show's highest figure since June 2. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 246k (1.7%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale appealed to 5.72m (32.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 192k (0.9%) on +1 as Marlon asked Laurel to move their wedding for Donna's sake.
Hollyoaks grabbed 931k (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Maxine fell down the fire escape at The Loft following an argument with Patrick. E4's first look followed with 714k (4.0%) at 7pm and 220k (1.1%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 631k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 838k (6.4%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 229k (3.3%) at 1.15pm, 587k (3.9%) at 6pm and 336k (2.1%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.4m (21.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
