Coronation Street was above the 7 million mark on Wednesday evening (June 4) despite its earlier timeslot, overnight figures show.
7.05m (35.7%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV as pregnant Carla collapsed in pain on the cobbles, while 455k (2.1%) caught up on +1 an hour later.
Hollyoaks secured its best rating since March 25 as 1.09m (6.2%) tuned in at 6.30pm on Channel 4 to see Diane make the wrong decision over Finn's attack on Blessing. E4's first look followed with 735k (3.7%) at 7pm and 241k (1.1%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 664k (10.1%) at 1.45pm and 765k (5.6%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away grabbed 185k (2.7%) at 1.15pm, 693k (4.3%) at 6pm and 387k (2.2%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.34m (20.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
