Emmerdale was ahead in Tuesday's soap ratings (June 3) as Eric went to great lengths to prove his love for Val, overnight figures show.
5.68m (28.8%) watched at 7pm on ITV and 241k (1.2%) on +1 as the villagers gathered to watch Eric complete a skydive in an hour-long episode.
EastEnders was unsurprisingly dented by its clash with Emmerdale and the rival soap's head-start, bringing in 4.92m (23.7%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Billy opposed Honey's plans to take his children away. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 585k (5.0%) at 10.30pm.
During the 30-minute clash period itself from 7.30pm, Emmerdale had 5.36m (25.8%).
Elsewhere, Holby City attracted 4.11m (20.0%) at 8pm on BBC One as Amy's storyline continued.
Hollyoaks interested 888k (5.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Finn's family confronted him over the attack on Blessing, while E4's first look followed with 708k (3.8%) at 7pm and 154k (0.8%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours managed 646k (10.3%) at 1.45pm and 579k (4.7%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away grabbed 188k (3.0%) at 1.15pm, 572k (3.8%) at 6pm and 342k (2.1%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors brought in 1.31m (21.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
