EastEnders enjoyed its highest figure of the month so far with its hour-long special on Tuesday evening (May 20), overnight figures show.
The Walford soap pulled in 7.96m (36.6%) at 8pm on BBC One as Max's secret fling with Lucy was exposed on the day of her funeral. BBC Three's repeat screening also performed well, securing 525k (4.6%) at 10.30pm.
The rating was EastEnders' highest since the immediate aftermath of Lucy's death on April 22.
Emmerdale also achieved its best figure of the month so far, attracting 6.14m (32.5%) at 7pm on ITV and 107k (0.5%) on +1 as Charity schemed to fake a miscarriage in an hour-long episode.
Hollyoaks interested 887k (5.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Joe and Sandy uncovered Sinead's deception, while E4's first look followed with 774k (4.2%) at 7pm and 113k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours bagged its best lunchtime rating since February 24 as 714k (11.1%) tuned in at 1.45pm, while 811k (6.5%) caught the latest visit to Ramsay Street at 5.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors continued with 1.35m (21.2%) at 1.45pm.
