6.89m (35.3%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as Dean reappeared at the Queen Vic after being contacted by his grandfather Stan. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 454k (3.3%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.78m (32.7%) at 7pm on ITV and 228k (1.2%) on +1 as James received the DNA test results.
Holby City attracted 4.81m (24.1%) at 8pm on BBC One with Sacha's crisis of conscience.
Hollyoaks entertained 913k (5.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sienna exposed Danny's secret, while the aftermath on E4's first look had 733k (4.1%) at 7pm and 133k (0.7%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Daniel Robinson's arrival in Neighbours brought in 572k (9.4%) at 1.45pm and 692k (5.3%) at 5.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors continued with 1.32m (22.0%) at 1.45pm.
