8.01m (34.0%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 183k (0.8%) on +1 as Tina abandoned her plans to leave Weatherfield after Peter urged her to stay.
Emmerdale appealed to 6.69m (30.3%) at 7pm on ITV and 173k (0.8%) on +1 as Eric and Diane gave into temptation after getting drunk together.
Waterloo Road continued with 3.42m (14.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Kevin suffered a shock health scare.
Hollyoaks interested 856k (4.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Cindy was told that her newborn son urgently needed a bone marrow transplant, while E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 728k (3.3%) at 7pm and 111k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 718k (8.3%) at 1.45pm and 769k (4.6%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 289k (3.2%) at 1.15pm, 549k (2.8%) at 6pm and 462k (2.2%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors enjoyed its best performance of the year so far with 1.94m (22.4%) watching at 1.45pm.
