EastEnders was Tuesday's top-rated soap

EastEnders topped Tuesday evening's soap ratings (February 4) as David succumbed to Nikki's advances, overnight figures show.

7.49m (33.6%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as David was unable to resist temptation when Nikki made a play for him again. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 479k (3.3%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale appealed to 6.75m (31.4%) at 7pm on ITV and 116k (0.5%) on +1 as James continued his efforts to get Moira involved in his planned deal.

Holby City attracted 5.05m (22.4%) at 8pm on BBC One as Dominic and Arthur's rivalry intensified.

Hollyoaks continued with 1.2m (5.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sinead and Freddie hit the rocks again, while E4's first look put in another strong performance with 897k (4.2%) at 7pm and 156k (0.7%) on +1.

On Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 587k (8.6%) at 1.45pm and 874k (5.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away's teatime screening rose once again with 740k (3.9%) at 6pm. The lunchtime visit to Summer Bay had 225k (3.2%) at 1.15pm, while 5*'s first look managed 432k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.58m (23.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
