Coronation Street tops Monday soap ratings with Kylie dramas

Coronation Street topped Monday evening's (December 23) soap ratings as Kylie caused more trouble within the Platt family, overnight figures show.

8.35m (35.7%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 186k (0.7%) on +1 as Kylie publicly revealed the truth about Nick and David's road crash at the Bistro, while 7.82m (30.6%) returned at 8.30pm and 208k (0.9%) on +1 as Kylie then tried to cause problems between Nick and Leanne.

EastEnders managed 6.93m (28.1%) at 8pm on BBC One as David started to blackmail Janine, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 455k (2.6%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 6.57m (30.5%) at 7pm on ITV as Declan's financial problems hit a new low, adding 110k (0.4%) on +1.

Hollyoaks appealed to 1.05m (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 171k (0.7%) on +1 as Ste decided to move out of the Lomax house, while E4's first look had 662k (3.0%) at 7.05pm and 186k (0.7%) on +1.
