Emmerdale tops Tuesday evening's soap ratings

Emmerdale was Tuesday evening's most-watched soap (October 22) as Priya threatened her love rival Alicia, overnight figures show.

7.34m (34.5%) watched at 7pm on ITV and 190k (0.7%) on +1 as a vengeful Priya vowed to tell Jacob the truth about who his real mother is.

EastEnders attracted 6.78m (30.4%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Ian told Peter that he has been lying about Max. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 506k (3.4%) at 10.30pm.

Holby City interested 4.13m (16.0%) at 8pm on BBC One as Harry's old school friend turned up at the hospital.

Hollyoaks brought in 1.07m (5.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Cindy confided in Holly, while E4's first look had 603k (2.8%) at 7pm and 145k (0.6%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Lucas and Vanessa's Neighbours exits were seen by 623k (8.8%) at 1.45pm and 934k (6.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 240k (3.3%) at 1.15pm, 541k (3.2%) at 6pm and 472k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors entertained 1.43m (20.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
