EastEnders stays ahead of Emmerdale with the camping story

EastEnders was Thursday evening's (August 29) most-watched soap as the week-long camping trip storyline continued, overnight figures show.

6.33m (32.6%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as Jay betrayed Abi on the holiday by kissing barmaid Kitty. 601k (3.9%) saw BBC Three's repeat screening at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 6.12m (33.4%) at 7pm on ITV and 122k (0.6%) on +1 as Rhona learned of the damage to her body. 5.76m (27.5%) returned at 8pm and 339k (1.6%) on +1 as Vanessa revealed even more details of Rhona's recent behaviour.

Hollyoaks appealed to 879k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Mercedes and Doctor Browning reunited, while E4's first look had 559k (3.0%) at 7pm.

Over on Channel 5, Bailey's suspicions in Neighbours were shared with 628k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 761k (6.2%) at 5.30pm, while the Home and Away 'Summer Bay's Sexiest' countdown continued with 69k (0.4%) at 6.30pm on 5*.

Elsewhere, the reveal of Jas's stalker in Doctors was seen by 1.32m (20.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
