Emmerdale's audience rose to 6.39m (32.9%) at 8pm and 283k (1.4%) on +1 as Cameron murdered Gennie following a terrifying car crash.
EastEnders attracted 5.69m (30.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Whitney decided to visit Tony in prison. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 365k (2.3%) at 10.30pm.
Hollyoaks had 825k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Will considered killing again, while E4's first look appealed to 581k (3.4%) at 7pm and 139k (0.7%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 692k (10.3%) at 1.45pm and 791k (6.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 246k (3.4%) at 1.15pm, 492k (3.4%) at 6pm and 333k (2.1%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.17m (17.5%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
