EastEnders narrowly beat Emmerdale to win the soap ratings battle on Tuesday (July 16), overnight data reveals.
5.80 million viewers (32.9%) tuned in to see Lucy discover her dad Ian's betrayal on BBC One at 7.30pm. The BBC Three repeat was seen by 592,000 (3.8%) at 10.30pm.
On Emmerdale, 5.39m (32.9%) watched as Laurel confronted her attacker at 7pm on ITV, with a further 173k (1.0%) tuning in on +1.
BBC One's Holby City interested 4.21m (22.5%) at 8pm as Arthur was put in charge of Keller for the day.
Hollyoaks attracted 788k (5.2%) to Channel 4 at 6.30pm (121k/0.7% on +1) as Nancy found out the truth about Sienna. E4's first look was seen by 597k (3.6%) at 7pm.
On Channel 5, Neighbours secured 578k (10.7%) at 1.45pm and 784k (6.8%) at 5.30pm. Home & Away brought in 254k (4.1%) at 1.15pm and 574k (4.1%) at 6pm. 5*'s first look gathered 420k (2.8%).
