Coronation Street topped Wednesday evening's (June 19) soap ratings as a heartbroken David contemplated suicide, overnight figures show.
7.35m (40.8%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV as David found himself on the edge of a cliff and considered jumping, adding 321k (1.6%) on +1.
Emmerdale interested 5.89m (35.7%) at 7pm and 244k (1.3%) on +1 as Alex's remains were found on the festival site.
Hollyoaks appealed to 694k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Mercedes went ahead with marrying Doctor Browning, while E4's first look had 513k (3.1%) at 7pm and 152k (0.8%) on +1.
On Channel 5, the Patrick kidnap drama on Neighbours was seen by 586k (10.1%) at 1.45pm and 925k (7.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away grabbed 192k (3.2%) at 1.15pm, 647k (4.7%) at 6pm and 396k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors mustered 1.09m (18.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
