EastEnders wins by a narrow margin on Thursday evening

EastEnders and Emmerdale were close in the soap ratings for the second Thursday in a row yesterday (May 23), overnight figures show.
The latest visit to Albert Square pulled in 6.39m (33.1%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Lola finally got Lexi back. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 526k (3.4%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.38m (34.8%) at 7pm on ITV and 141k (0.7%) on +1 as Chas had new suspicions over Cameron, while 6.13m (28.8%) returned at 8pm and 275k (1.2%) on +1 to see Cameron deliberately crash his van.
Waterloo Road appealed to 2.87m (13.3%) at 8pm on BBC One as Sonya had a tough day.
Hollyoaks brought 743k (4.3%) to Channel 4 at 6.30pm with Sinead's labour scenes and the arrival of the full Roscoe family, while E4's first look had 536k (2.9%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 646k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 872k (6.2%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 276k (3.8%) at 1.15pm, 572k (3.5%) at 6pm and 396k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.4m (19.8%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
