Coronation Street was Wednesday evening's (April 17) most-watched soap as the Anna and Faye storyline took another twist, overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield drama attracted 8.03m (37.8%) at 7.30pm on ITV as Faye falsely accused Anna of abuse, adding 449k (2.0%) on +1.
Emmerdale pulled in 6.49m (32.7%) at 7pm on ITV and 284k (1.3%) on +1 as Amy and Andy kissed.
Hollyoaks interested 969k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sinead discovered that Finn was the victim of the hit and run, while E4's first look had 683k (3.5%) at 7pm and 122k (0.6%) on +1.
On Channel 5, another chance to see the aftermath of the Neighbours explosion was taken by 667k (9.3%) at 1.45pm and 947k (6.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away entertained 282k (3.7%) at 1.15pm, 712k (4.1%) at 6pm and 541k (2.9%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.41m (19.8%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
