The latest visit to Albert Square pulled in 7.7m (35.4%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Lexi was rushed to hospital, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 430k (2.7%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.84m (33.9%) at 7pm on ITV and 212k (0.9%) on +1 as Brenda urged her family to support her decision not to have surgery.
Holby City appealed to 4.82m (20.9%) at 8pm on BBC One with Tara-centric episode 'The End of the Beginning'.
Hollyoaks managed 892k (4.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 122k (0.6%) on +1 as Jacqui took action against Trudy, while E4's first look had 532k (2.6%) at 7pm and 111k (0.5%) on +1.
On Channel 5, Neighbours mustered 687k (9.3%) at 1.45pm and 929k (6.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away grabbed 288k (3.6%) at 1.15pm, 626k (3.7%) at 6pm and 451k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors returned following its Easter break with 1.3m (17.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
