Coronation Street tops the 10 million mark on Monday night

Coronation Street topped the 10 million mark for the second Monday in a row last night (March 25) as Tyrone Dobbs's domestic violence trial began, overnight figures show.

9.78m (40.1%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 289k (1.1%) on +1 as scheming Kirsty gave evidence against Tyrone in court. Later, 10.12m (39.3%) watched at 8.30pm and 307k (1.3%) on +1 as the trial continued and Julie saw a frightening glimpse of Kirsty's true nature back on the cobbles.

EastEnders managed 7.73m (30.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Bianca and Whitney searched for missing Liam. BBC Three's repeat screening had 279k (1.9%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 7.19m (31.9%) at 7pm on ITV as Declan and Jai clashed again, adding 189k (0.8%) on +1.

Hollyoaks attracted 1.21m (5.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Ste and George slept together, while E4's first look secured 788k (3.5%) at 7pm and 102k (0.4%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 778k (9.4%) at 1.45pm and 889k (5.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 682k (3.5%) at 6pm and 429k (2.0%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.75m (21.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
