EastEnders tops Tuesday evening's soap ratings

EastEnders topped Tuesday evening's (March 12) soap ratings as Liam Butcher's gang storyline continued, overnight figures show.

The latest visit to Walford interested 7.66m (33.2%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Bianca discovered evidence of Liam's link to the thugs who attacked Tamwar. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 442k (3.2%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale appealed to 7.13m (32.5%) at 7pm on ITV as Robbie stole from Moira, adding 141k (0.6%) on +1.

Holby City entertained 4.74m (19.9%) at 8pm on BBC One with an episode titled 'Not Aaron'.

Hollyoaks pulled in 1.07m (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Trudy's manipulation of Jacqui was revealed, while E4's first look had 765k (3.5%) at 7pm and 178k (0.8%) on +1.

On Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 788k (10.0%) at 1.45pm and 934k (5.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 771k (4.1%) at 6pm and 557k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.58m (20.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
