Coronation Street was Wednesday evening's (March 6) most-watched soap as Karl was forced to face the music, overnight figures show.
8.49m (37.7%) watched at 7.30pm and 342k (1.5%) on +1 as Jason confronted Karl for driving off with Stella the night before.
Emmerdale brought in 6.97m (33.3%) at 7pm and 151k (0.7%) on +1 as Sandy was dealt a new blow.
EastEnders' extra midweek episode managed 6.95m (30.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Lola went on the run from Walford, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 229k (3.1%) at the unusual time of 11.30pm.
Hollyoaks appealed to 1.19m (6.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Will's obsession with Texas intensified, while E4's first look had 656k (3.1%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 707k (10.4%) at 1.45pm and 1.02m (6.2%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 841k (4.6%) at 6pm and 462k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.59m (23.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
