EastEnders tops Tuesday evening's soap ratings

EastEnders was Tuesday evening's (February 26) most-watched soap with the aftermath of Jack's attack on Phil, overnight figures show.

7.82m (34.7%) tuned in to BBC One at 7.30pm to see a panicked Jack leave Phil for dead at The Arches. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 512k (3.5%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale pulled in 7.34m (33.7%) at 7pm on ITV and 208k (0.9%) on +1 as Edna's struggles were finally revealed.

Holby City attracted 4.99m (21.5%) at 8pm on BBC One with an episode titled 'Unravelled'.

Hollyoaks appealed to 1.13m (5.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Darren's war against the Kanes escalated, while E4's first look had 531k (2.4%) at 7pm and 171k (0.8%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 678k (8.8%) at 1.45pm and 987k (5.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 580k (3.0%) at 6pm and 499k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.59m (20.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
