Emmerdale appealed to 7.03m (31.6%) at 7pm on ITV as Cain revealed the strength of his feelings for Moira, adding 220k (0.9%) on +1.
Holby City brought 5.08m (21.0%) to BBC One at 8pm with an episode titled 'Ask Me No Questions'.
Hollyoaks interested 1.04m (5.1%) at 6.30pm with more Texas and Will twists, while E4's first look had 714k (3.2%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours attracted 668k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 938k (5.6%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away pulled in 810k (4.2%) at 6pm and 560k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
