Coronation Street topped Wednesday evening's (January 30) soap ratings with the latest twists in the Lewis Archer storyline, overnight figures show.
Corrie attracted 8.58m (37.5%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 352k (1.5%) on +1 as Lewis seized an opportunity to blackmail Kylie after discovering her secret.
Earlier, Emmerdale pulled in 7.59m (34.7%) at 7pm and 264k (1.2%) on +1 as life in the village became even more difficult for Chas.
Hollyoaks secured 1.2m (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 133k (0.6%) on +1 as new guy Kevin arrived to spy on Brendan for Walker, while E4's first look had 602k (2.8%) at 7pm and 117k (0.5%) on +1.
Neighbours brought in 753k (10.3%) at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 1.03m (6.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away secured 753k (3.9%) at 6pm and 530k (2.5%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Finally, Doctors' latest episode 'Feel the Fear' appealed to 1.6m (22.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
