Coronation Street continued to perform well on Wednesday evening (November 28) as Tyrone's ordeal took centre stage in an hour-long episode, overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield soap pulled in 8.85m (38.4%) at 7.30pm on ITV1 and 253k (1.0%) on +1 as Tyrone came close to running away with Ruby to escape his violent fiancée Kirsty.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 7.35m (34.8%) at 7pm and 151k (0.6%) on +1 as Katie was finally rescued.
Hollyoaks interested 954k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Dodger's long-lost family storyline continued, while E4's first look had 502k (2.4%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 688k (10.5%) at 1.45pm and 1.03m (6.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away grabbed 764k (4.0%) at 6pm and 487k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.33m (20.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
