EastEnders tops Thursday evening's soap ratings

EastEnders topped Thursday evening's (October 25) soap ratings with more developments in the Lola and Lexi plot, overnight figures show.

The Walford drama pulled in 7.36 million (33.2%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Phil considered telling Ben the truth about Lexi, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 530k (3.4%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.8m (32.5%) at 7pm on ITV1 and 131k (0.6%) on +1 as Chas appeared in court. 6.37m (27.5%) returned at 8pm and 278k (1.2%) on +1 to see Cameron visit Sarah.

After Emmerdale, the second episode of documentary series Emmerdale at 40 interested 3.07m (13.4%) at 8.30pm and 226k (1.0%) an hour later.

Also airing in the 8pm hour, the final Waterloo Road episode of the year grabbed 3.3m (14.3%) on BBC One.

Hollyoaks managed 847k (4.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with Cheryl's ultimatum to Brendan, while an emotional first look on E4 had 552k (2.6%) at 7pm.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 495k (7.2%) at 1.45pm and 928k (6.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 778k (4.5%) at 6pm and 521k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.46m (21.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
