'EastEnders' Sharon, Jack scenes watched by 7.6m on Thursday

EastEnders was Thursday evening's (October 11) most-watched soap with the latest developments for Sharon, overnight figures show.

The Walford drama pulled in 7.6m (35.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Jack learned of Sharon's painkiller problem in the aftermath of her row with Derek. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 451k (2.9%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.9m (34.2%) at 7pm on ITV1 and 123k (0.6%) on +1 as Jimmy discovered Carl's betrayal, while 5.94m (26.5%) returned at 8pm and 234k (1.0%) on timeshift to see the fallout for the Kings.

After Emmerdale, The Corrie Years interested 3.19m (14.1%) at 8.30pm on ITV1 and 154k (0.7%) an hour later.

Waterloo Road, also airing in the 8pm hour, entertained 3.42m (15.2%) on BBC One as Lorraine's competition led to tensions.

Hollyoaks appealed to 743k (3.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Darren told Nancy he wanted a divorce, while E4's first look had 449k (2.2%) at 7pm.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 713k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 893k (5.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 733k (4.1%) at 6pm and 489k (2.5%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.4m (19.0%) at 1.45pm.
