'Coronation Street' Tyrone, Kirsty week climaxes with 7.4m

Coronation Street's week of episodes centred around Tyrone and Kirsty climaxed with a decent audience.

The Weatherfield serial topped Friday's soap ratings with its 7.30pm instalment grabbing 7.35m (36.5%) for the vanishing of baby Ruby, adding a further 134k (0.6%) on +1.

At 8.30pm, the return of the baby in Corrie's second edition pulled in a less impressive 7.26m (32.2%), but was still above BBC rival EastEnders and added 209k (0.9%) on ITV1 +1.

EastEnders logged 6.65m (31.3%) for an episode which saw Michael hand over his baby daughter Scarlett to Roxy. While only 335k (2.1%) watched BBC Three's 10.30pm repeat, 409k (7.7%) caught the EastEnders Omnibus on BBC One between 11.45pm and 1.30am.

Carl's blackmailing of Cameron in Emmerdale was seen by 6.21m (33.3%) and 169k (0.8%) on timeshift, while Hollyoaks took 757k (4.4%) at 6.30pm and 500k (2.7%) half-an-hour later for E4's first look.

Earlier in the day, Doctors interested 1.39m (19.6%), while Neighbours managed 622k (8.9%) on Channel 5 before adding 814k (5.8%) at 5.30pm. Home and Away fetched 682k (4.2%) at 6pm, then 5*'s first look drew 429k (3.5%).
