Ratings: 7.1m watch EastEnders on Thursday night

EastEnders was Thursday evening's (September 20) most-watched soap as Phil Mitchell turned his attentions back to the Queen Vic, overnight figures show.

The Walford drama pulled in 7.05m (32.7%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Phil got back behind the bar at the pub following some advice from Sharon. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 363k (2.5%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 5.57m (27.6%) at 7pm on ITV1 and 136k (0.6%) on +1 as Kerry's health took another turn for the worse. Later, a worrying update on Kerry's condition was witnessed by 5.35m (23.8%) at 8pm and 314k (1.4%) on timeshift.

After Emmerdale, the latest edition of The Corrie Years interested 3.29m (14.5%) at 8.30pm.

Also airing in the 8pm hour, Waterloo Road claimed 3.54m (15.6%) on BBC One.

Hollyoaks managed 889k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Ally was confronted by faces from his past, while E4's first look brought in 526k (2.6%) at 7pm.

At 10pm on E4, a dark episode of Hollyoaks Later grabbed 461k (2.8%).

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 576k (8.7%) at 1.45pm and 947k (6.6%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 740k (4.3%) at 6pm and 402k (2.1%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.37m (20.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
