EastEnders' Billy's problems shared with 7.3m on Tuesday...

EastEnders was the most-watched soap on Tuesday evening (September 18) as Billy Mitchell faced fresh problems, overnight figures show.

The Walford drama pulled in 7.32m (33.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Billy lost his job with Michael, just as Lola had a new social worker to impress. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 593k (4.1%) at 10.30pm.

Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 4.5m (18.6%) at 8pm with an episode titled 'A Crack In The Ice'.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.5m (33.6%) at 7pm on ITV1 and 134k (0.6%) on +1 as pregnant Gennie became concerned over motherhood.

Hollyoaks appealed to 968k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Jacqui lashed out at Cindy, while E4's first look brought in 486k (2.5%) at 7pm and 136k (0.6%) on timeshift.

Hollyoaks Later continued on E4 with 425k (2.5%) watching at 10pm and 142k (1.6%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours took 667k (10.3%) at 1.45pm and 955k (6.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away grabbed 728k (4.4%) at 6pm and 420k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.26m (19.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
