Anthony Moon's EastEnders exit claimed 6.7m viewers on Thursday evening (August 30), overnight figures show.



The Walford soap pulled in 6.67m (32.5%) at 7.30pm as Anthony made an emotional departure from Albert Square following a poker game with Derek. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 576k (3.7%) at 10.30pm.

Coronation Street attracted a similar first-run figure of 6.66m (27.9%) at 8.30pm as Tommy tried to expose Kirsty's true colours, adding 274k (1.2%) on +1.

Emmerdale appealed to 5.87m (30.5%) at 7pm as Laurel and Marlon's relationship was finally exposed, while the aftermath of the revelation was seen by 5.65m (25.4%) at 8pm and 292k (1.3%) on timeshift.

Clashing with ITV1's soap hour, Waterloo Road managed 3.26m (14.1%) at 8pm on BBC One as troubled student Lula needed Tom's help.

Hollyoaks interested 843k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the latest developments in Dodger's storyline, while E4's first look had 463k (2.4%) at 7pm and 111k (0.5%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 598k (7.6%) at 1.45pm and 759k (5.6%) at 5.30pm, while classic episodes of Home and Away on 5* entertained 125k (0.8%) and 137k (0.8%) at 6pm and 6.30pm respectively.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors mustered 1.3m (16.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
