Emmerdale remained above the 5m mark on Wednesday evening (August 8) as Charity Sharma's latest scheme played out perfectly, overnight figures show.
The ITV1 soap pulled in 5.26m (27.4%) at 7pm as Charity secured a stake in Emmerdale Haulage, adding 234k (1.1%) on +1.
Hollyoaks, meanwhile, attracted 665k (3.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 114k (0.6%) on +1 as Amy left the village. E4's first look secured 343k (1.8%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 549k (6.8%) at 1.45pm and 873k (6.5%) at 5.30pm.
On 5*, the latest classic episodes of Home and Away were seen by 136k (0.8%) and 132k (0.8%) at 6pm and 6.30pm respectively.
