A little bit of Albert Square is coming to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Sunday, 28 February.

There will be a family fun day in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall to raise funds for the Haiti appeal.

Stars from Eastenders, including Pat St. Clement and Michelle Collins will be in Coventry for the day.

The idea was born after actor Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale in the BBC One soap, wanted to organise a fundraising event in the Midlands.

Celebrity signings and Q & A's

Chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, Daniel Gidney, told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "We're delighted to get involved.

"There's going to be some indoor fair equipment, some performances by local bands and the headline is going to be some celebrity signings and question and answer sessions from key members of the Eastenders cast.

"Part of the reason the Ricoh was built was for community spirit and this is one of the things we're proud to do. We urge people to come down and support the day and raise as much as we can."

All the money going to charity

Ticket details will be announced shortly, but it is expected that adult tickets will be £10 and child tickets at £5. The day will begin at 1030 and will finish around 1700. All of the money will be going to the Haiti appeal.

Adam Woodyatt, who lives in south Warwickshire, started brainstorming ideas for the event via his Twitter page and welcomed input from his followers.
