Coronation Street was the most-watched soap on Wednesday evening (July 4) as the dramas surrounding Lloyd's return continued, overnight figures show.
The ITV1 drama pulled in 6.94m (32.6%) at 7.30pm as Steve discovered that Lloyd had set up a rival cab firm, adding 254k (1.1%) on +1.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 5.93m (29.4%) at 7pm and 220k (1.1%) on +1 as Ashley's troubles continued.
EastEnders managed 5.42m (24.5%) at 8.30pm with its extra Wednesday episode, which saw Kat's affair begin. BBC Three's repeat screening secured a strong 998k (5.0%) at 10pm.
Hollyoaks interested 784k (4.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Texas received a phone call from evil Silas, while E4's first look mustered 464k (2.3%) at 7pm and 183k (0.9%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 656k (8.4%) at 1.45pm and 944k (6.2%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away took 649k (3.7%) at 6pm and 411k (2.2%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
