Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Monday evening (July 2) with Lloyd Mullaney's return episodes, overnight figures show.
The ITV1 drama pulled in 8.52m (37.0%) at 7.30pm and 233k (1.0%) on +1 as Steve was surprised to come face-to-face with Lloyd. Later, 7.93m (32.8%) watched the old friends fall out at 8.30pm, adding 360k (1.6%) on timeshift.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 7.66m (32.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as newcomer Joey remained at odds with dad Derek. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 839k (4.3%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.6m (31.2%) at 7pm with the aftermath of Jai's infidelity, while 216k (0.9%) watched on +1.
Hollyoaks gripped 1.04m (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 123k (0.5%) on +1 as Lynsey's murder rocked the village, while E4's first look had 593k (2.8%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 670k (8.3%) at 1.45pm and 967k (6.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 778k (4.3%) at 6pm and 467k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
